All Chiropractors are entitled to use the Dr of Chiropractic title. This is not a medical title. There are very few Chiropractors who also hold a Medical degree, and they will have the appropriative letters after their name to demonstrate this.

In common with medical practitioners and dentists, all Chiropractors are registered by law under the Chiropractors Act 1994 with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC)and the title ‘Chiropractor’ is protected under this legislation. The profession is statutorily regulated through the GC and it is illegal to practice as a Chiropractor without being registered with the GCC. Similarly it is illegal to state or imply that Chiropractic skills and or techniques are being used if that person is not listed on the Practicing Statutory Register.
