Did You Know?

After medicine and dentistry, chiropractic is the third largest primary health care profession in the western world. Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of Mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, with special emphasis on the spine. It emphasises manual therapy including spinal manipulation and other joint and soft tissue treatment Exercises and health and lifestyle coaching form part of the package of care.

Chiropractic is regulated by statute and Chiropractors are bound by strict laws governing their practice. Continuing Professional Development forms a strong part of the practice of the Chiropractor.

Chiropractors in the UK now have their own Royal College, the Royal College of Chiropractors, and provides a platform for CPD and Research in the UK and Worldwide.

All Chiropractors are entitled to use the Dr of Chiropractic title.  This is not a medical title.  There are very few Chiropractors who also hold a Medical degree, and they will have the appropriate letters after their name to demonstrate this. Almost all Chiropractors are not Medical Doctors.
