Welcome to the gentle but high tech facilities of Homewood Chiropractic.
Back pain is a common problem which affects 4 out of 5 of us at some point during our lives. Most of the time, it’s caused by a simple muscle, tendon or ligament strain and not usually by a serious health problem. But sometimes, the pain can interfere with your daily life and last for several weeks or even months or years.
Unfortunately, many people put up with backpain for fear of undergoing medical tests and examinations. Yet ignoring your back pain is not going to make it go away. Quite the opposite, in fact. According to our Fareham chiropractor, identifying the true cause of your back pain is the most important step in getting on the road to recovery.
The good news is that your diagnostic journey probably isn’t as daunting as you imagine when you visit one of our chiropractors here at Homewood Chiropractic Clinic.
When you first arrive at the clinic you will be made to feel welcome by our clinic staff. They will assist you in completing the necessary paperwork prior to your chiropractor seeing you.
Your chiropractor will spend time with you and consult on your health and lifestyle and will encourage you to ask as many questions as you like.
The tests that are carried out here at Homewood Chiropractic Clinic are painless and non-invasive.
Your chiropractor will then carry out an in-depth examination to determine how best to care for you. Your examination will include:
Physical Examination: This includes spinal check, nerve, joint and muscle tests
Postural Analysis: Your Chiropractor will analyse your shape, standing and sitting, and will ask you to perform several movements. Areas of spinal stress, muscle tension, joint abnormalities, postural changes are determined. Information gained is stored on your file so we can monitor progress
Ergonomic/Sports Assessment:The information you give use about your working and sporting habits help us to advise you about healthier options for you.
Your Personal Program of Care
After your consultation and examination your chiropractor will talk through with you how we may be able to help you and a personal program of care will be explained to you, including costs. You will then be in a position to agree with the chiropractor a path of care that you are comfortable with.
Where we feel necessary, we may recommend further tests or refer you for further assessment to another Health Professional.
It may be necessary for you to undergo further diagnostic examination or off site tests in which case your agreed treatment plan will not commence on your first visit.
Don’t put your back pain to the back of your mind. One day it may not be such an easy thing to ignore.
